17 Jewish New Year’s cards with illustrations of Israeli flags and Israeli symbols – all issued in Argentina (most of them in Buenos Aires). Most of them are from the 1950s. The small part are earlier or later.
Among them: an opened card with the flag of Israel next to the flag of Argentina – 1950 – Happy New Year greetings in Hebrew, Spanish and Yiddish, a card with the symbol of the State of Israel and a photograph of immigrants – Buenos Aires, a New Year card with the photos of Herzl next to Weizmann, cards showing IDF soldiers Waving the Israeli flag and a New Year’s greeting in Hebrew and Spanish, a New Year’s card showing a soldier waving the Israeli flag and a blessing in Yiddish: “It will not help the nations at all, it has been declared from heaven that the capital of Israel must be Jerusalem”, and others.
Most of the cards are opened with “Happy New Year” greetings inside the card. Some of them have the original envelope in which they were sent.
