A collection of 67 photographs and postcards of synagogues, late 19th century – 1930s.

7 photographs of synagogues in Europe (except for one from Eretz Israel) – late 19th century – the 1930s. Among them: the interior of a European synagogue showing the front of the Ark of the Covenant and the platform (early 20th century, 22×17 cm), the front of the great synagogue in Italy [18×13 cm], an early albumen photograph of Rashi’s synagogue in Worms (circa 1890), the structure of the synagogue in Brno, Czechoslovakia (photo of the diagram of the synagogue made by Avraham Shulster 18×24 cm), a stereoscopic photograph of the ruined synagogue in Jerusalem (circa 1900).

44 synagogue postcards. Europe. Years: 1900 – 1930. Most of them are synagogues in Europe, among them about half were sent by mail, some are early undivided back postcards from the 1900.
