A glass bottle made by the liquor factory of Jacob Haberfeld signed in the glass body – JACOB HABERFELD. in the center, is the factory emblem and the OSWIECIM-Auschwitz production place.
The factory was established in the early 19th century as a beverage manufacturing plant, near a fortress and the synagogue, and became one of the city’s hallmarks during the 19th century. He worked under the leadership of the Barfeld family until World War II. Some family members fled from Poland when the war began to the United States, and the remainder perished in the nearby Auschwitz camp.
