ATROCITÉS NAZIES EN FRANCE – Photographs by Le Patriote. A rare booklet presenting highly graphic, uncensored photographs documenting Nazi atrocities in towns and villages across France. The majority of the images depict bodies with severe signs of torture, aiming to demonstrate the extreme cruelty of Nazi criminals and bring them to justice. Published by the National Front for the Struggle for the Liberation and Independence of France. Introduction by Prof. Pierre Mazel. France, [1944].
At the beginning of the booklet, the French Liberation Organization calls upon the public to join its ranks in defense of the French homeland. Throughout the pages, harrowing images depict the victims found in French towns and villages, including Dortan, Bron, Montluc, Saint-Yan, and Vercors, where Jews and political dissidents were tortured and massacred by the Nazis. As Prof. Pierre Mazel states in the introduction, the graphic nature of these photographs serves as undeniable proof of the Nazi regime’s violations of international law and universal human conscience. To that end, the booklet contains dozens of photographs of mutilated corpses bearing severe torture marks, body parts removed and preserved in various containers by the Nazis, torture devices used by the German forces, and other evidence of Nazi brutality and monstrous cruelty.
Due to the extreme nature of the content, some of the most disturbing images have been concealed by us.
