A letter sent to the Dachau death camp by the wife of prisoner Julius Wilhelm Weiss on November 13, 1939. German.
In her letter, Weiss’s wife writes that in light of the difficult situation, she is currently considering two options. Travel to Melbourne in Australia (where her relatives are), or to the United States. And that in any case, she won’t leave alone, but wait for his return. She asks to know how he is doing, and expresses her longing. And adds that when he returns from the camp, they will live with her parents for a while.
On the envelope in which the letter was sent appears the name of Julius, his date of birth 12.4.1908, and a Nazi ink stamp stating that the prisnor did not receive the letter, because he had already received another letter that month, according to the Nazi law that it was forbidden to deliver more than one letter to a prisoner a month.
