A memorial book for the soldiers of Australia and New Zealand who fell in the battles of the First World War on all the fronts in which they participated. Published by the "Association of Returned Soldiers" in New South Wales, Australia, with the aim of preserving the memory of the soldiers. List of thousands (!) names of officers and soldiers of various ranks that was collected right up until close to the printing of the book, alongside the detailed heroic stories of the fighters in the "Liberation War Humanity" from the German Prussian threat.
This edition has a preface by Dean Talbot as well as by Colonel Owen who wrote the introduction to the first edition. In the first part of the book there are dozens of pages with a detailed historical list of the names of the soldiers who fell in the battles - in this edition, hundreds of names of soldiers who fell between the years 1915-1917 (since the first edition was published), as well as details about the unit in which each of them fought, were added. How and where they fell. In the second part, hundreds of photographs of the fallen soldiers, photographs of Anzac on the battlefield, photographs of important generals and officers, the stories of the soldiers from letters that the soldiers sent home describing the battlefield, excerpts from soldiers' diaries, a detailed overview of some of them of the Australian soldiers on the French front, Anzac songs, the Anzac anthem, and more.
