Folder with a large folding ‘Shana Tova’. On one side, a map of Eretz Israel in Yiddish “לאנדקארטע פון פאלעסטינא סיריען און ירושלם” – “Map of Palestine, Syria and Jerusalem”, Hebrew publishing Co. New York 1910. Map drawn by J. Keller and printed in color lithography by E. C. BRIDGMAN. Includes the names of the tribes and colonies of Eretz Israel. In the lower part on the right is a sub-map of the city of Jerusalem. Size of the map: 60×50 cm. (See the Laor collection in the National Library, record no. 990034884810205171. There the map appears in black and white without the photographs and the ‘Shana Tova’ before us).

On the back of the map are 22 photographs from Eretz Israel described in English and Hebrew (and some in Yiddish), and photographs of the leaders of the Zionist movement – Theodore Herzl, Nahum Sokolov, Haim Weizmann and others. Photographs from Eretz Israel of the beginning of the 20th century in black and white. Among them: the winery in Rishon Lezion, the tomb of Rabbi Meir Baal HaNes, the opening of the university on Mount Scopus, Rehovot – a Jewish settlement in Yemen, Jaffa Street in Jerusalem and others.

The photographs fold into a 15×12 cm folder with a colorful ‘Shanah Tova’ blessing and prominent flowers, housed in an original dedicated cardboard box. Extremely rare.
