An interesting album containing a collection of 47 printed and decorated New Year greeting cards exchanged between Jews in various cities across the United States during the 1920s and 1930s.
The album’s sleeves preserve printed New Year greeting cards—with blessings in Hebrew, English, and even Yiddish. Featuring various decorations, the cards were sent within Jewish communities in Brooklyn, Denver, New York, Houston, and other states. Some include the original envelopes in which the greeting cards were sent. Cards were sent by the Goldman, Rand, Steel, Marcus, Goldstein, Davis, Reisel families, and other Jewish families.
