The center depicts the interior of “The Synagogue of Alexandria in Egypt”, to its right is an exterior view of the synagogue. Above, a pair of lions and a Torah crown. Surrounding it are biblical scenes associated with Egypt – Pharaoh’s daughter and Moses by the Nile, the Exodus from Egypt, the Tabernacle, and more. Among them is a scene of Antiochus and the Hanukkah miracle. Along the margins are illustrations of the tribes and kings of Israel.
