A collection of 22 photographs of the Hebrew settlement in Eretz Israel, of which 12 were taken by the renowned Eretz Israel photographer Ephraim Ilani [with the photographer’s ink stamps on the back of the photographs]. The first half of the 20th century – the beginning of the 50s.
Among them: a large photograph [29×23 cm] of soil workers in Jaffa [c. 1920s], a photograph showing Rabbi Herzog and Rabbi Ades, two large photographs [24×20 cm] of Yemeni Jews negotiating for goods in cotton fields [both Photographed by Ephraim Ilani], a photograph of honorary citizens in Tel Aviv during the ceremony of handing out new identity cards at the Tel Aviv Municipality, photographs of views from the Binyamina settlement in the 1940s signed with the ink stamps of “Photography Betelem kineret”, and others.
Various sizes. Most of the photographs are 17×11 cm. overall very good condition.
