432 black and white photographs from the best early photographers who photographed in Eretz Israel. An important and early collection of photographs from Palestine. A very wide variety of views from the country cities, as well as of the people of palestine, as well as photographs of Jews in traditional dress from the old settlement. Includes a large panoramic photograph (across two pages) of the Temple Mount and the Wall – view from east to west. Each image was printed on a large entire page. Below each photo is a detailed explanation in france, at the end of the book are key pages for the photos.
See also Dynasty auction 13 item 128. The album’s publisher and format are the same, but the photographs are partly different. Before us a different album in the series – series 1, 2, 3. Likewise, the panoramic map of Jerusalem that appears in this copy is different from the panoramic map that appeared in the other one.
