An original wooden box designed for a deck of playing cards with drawings of characters from different nationalities in traditional clothing. Among them is a Jew praying with a tefillin on his head, a Jew lighting candles, a cantor, the synagogue, as well as figures of other religions in their traditional clothing. Europe, c. 1900.
