“From Capitulation to Betrayal” – Contribution to History.
A rare publication by the “Socialist Action Committee” in France, accusing the Jews of internal subversion against France and its fall into the hands of Nazi Germany. Belgium, May 1941. The introduction states that the material was originally published in France by socialist members, and due to its significance, it is now printed for the Belgian people.
The booklet claims that through their control over the French economy and press, the Jews were responsible for France’s downfall, alleging that they prioritized German interests and prevented the French public from understanding the true magnitude of the German threat. In the chapter “The Forces of Money Against the Republic, ” it states: “The responsibility of the army, their willingness to surrender—none of this alone would have been enough to bring about capitulation and the fall of the Republic. Behind the scenes, a stronger will and a more dreadful responsibility were required. The fall of the Republic could not have been the spontaneous result of a single hour of chaos, however tragic. It took a long and sustained effort, a relentless process of undermining. The defeat was merely the carefully prepared trap into which a terrible conspiracy succeeded in pushing it.” The author blames the “entire clique” for political, economic, and moral responsibility in France’s collapse: “Through skillful control of the boards of directors of major industrial and banking corporations, they took hold of the national economy, imposing their influence almost invariably on government decisions. Through the major press, almost entirely under their payroll, they manipulate public opinion…”. It further claims: “They then developed an enormous plan to disrupt the nation’s economic life; to organize civil war, weaken the morale of the state, and ensure Hitler’s hegemony over Europe…”. The author directly accuses the Jews of breaking France’s spirit and will to resist Hitler’s expansion: “This was the work of a certain press and certain individuals. Every time Germany dared to act, we were persuaded to let it happen. We were lulled into sleep until we awoke—and it was already too late…”.
