Arthur Szyk – complete set of 6 anti-Nazi postcards first published in Esquire: The Magazine for Men. Original envelope. 1942.

The postcards feature caricatures mocking Hitler, Mussolini, the Gestapo, and the Nazis. In the 1940s, Szyk published numerous political cartoons in Esquire magazine. Due to their popularity, postcard sets were produced under the name Esky-Cards (a reference to “Esky, ” the magazine’s iconic mascot). The postcards were printed in full color on high-quality thick paper and were intended for mailing or personal collecting.
