An important letter in the handwriting and signature of the genius Rabbi Mordechai Dober Halevi Horwitz of the Vitefsk. Sent to the genius of Rabbi Itzela of Ponevezh [Rabbi Yitzchak Ya’akov Rabinovich], 1914.
A long and interesting letter in which the genius asks from Rabbi Itzela that his favor be demanded for him about Jerusalem rabbinate. In his letter, he opens: “After seeing the state of your goodness and kindness, I ask that you may be able to Try for me about the Jerusalem rabbinate that is in great demand now, with it being more than thirty years here in the Holy Vitefsk community and sitting here in honor and rest … as I have blessed my time… want now living in the Holy Land, so I ask you to … I trust you to do what is possible in my favor. ” Later, the genius expands in negotiations on the shiluach HaKen Mitzvah. At the end of the letter, the genius notes his attribution that goes as far as the “Marot Hatzoveot” genius. Probably to strengthen his merit to the Jerusalem rabbinate.
As far as we know before us, there is an interesting revelation about the request of Rabbi Vitefsk to honor the Jerusalem Rabbinate.
