The Jewish “Ezrah” Hospital in Buenos Aires was established in 1916. In Argentina, where Jewish immigration began in 1889, the figure of the pioneer doctor Noach Yachi is still remembered and admired today. With the establishment of the Ezrah Hospital in Buenos Aires, a center for medical activity was founded; its importance grew as the Jewish population increased. Jews were prominent in the medical field, such as Professor Quiroga who was President of the Buenos Aires Academy of Medicine and Ricardo Rodriguez Dean of the Faculty of Medicine in La Plata. Jewish doctors published the Journal Archives de Medicina Argentina-Israel.
