Enamel pin bearing the insignia of U.S. Army Internal Security Unit 6850 during the Nuremberg Trials. Nuremberg, 1940s. This emblem was worn by the U.S. Military Police during the three major Nuremberg Trials (Major War Criminals, Doctors, and Lawyers) between 1946 and 1949.
Pin featuring the special emblem designed for the unit that secured the trials of the Nazi war criminals. At the center: the scales of justice hovering above a broken Nazi eagle engulfed in flames. At the top: a shattered swastika on one side, and the unit’s insignia on the other.
