The collection includes early lithographic postcards; the Temple Mount; sites and figures in the Old City of Jerusalem; Rachel’s Tomb; views of the city of Jaffa; Jericho; a souvenir postcard from the visit of the German Kaiser to Jerusalem in 1898; General Allenby and his forces in Jerusalem; local figures from Eretz Israel; and more.
Among the publishers featured: Vester, Hans Moessmer & Sons, H. Krugliakov – Jaffa, Y. Ben-Dov, the Eliyahu Brothers, Mattathias Eliyahu & Brother, Abdallah Perez; undivided-back postcards from C. 1900, and others.
14 of the postcards were sent through the mail, 13 are undivided (early, issued C. 1900). Overall good condition.
