Collection of New Year Greeting Postcards – Jewish Publishers Active in Warsaw – Early 20th Century

14 “Shanah Tovah” postcards from local Jewish publishers active in Warsaw during the 1920s. Includes rare examples.

The collection includes:

7 postcards published by Central

3 postcards by Yehudiya

3 postcards by Reznik

2 postcards by Altneuland

All are Hebrew-language publishers, among the earliest Jewish postcard printers in Warsaw and in Poland as a whole.

Postcards: a train carrying money bags symbolizing livelihood for the New Year, “Little landlords” smoking, Hakafot – a father and his sons carrying Simchat Torah flags, the Tree of Influences (Etz HaHashpaot), and more. Six of the postcards were used and include Yiddish greeting inscriptions from the senders on the reverse.
