Collection of 25 real photo postcards depicting Jews of the Eastern lands in traditional dress, including rare. Various publishers, early 20th century.
The postcards feature Jewish types from Morocco, Salonika – including Jewish newspaper boys holding copies of the Jewish-French evening paper L’Independant, edited by Avraham Matraso and Leizer Nehusi, the façade of the Saldovsky Salon, and more. Also included are postcards from cities in Tunisia, as well as Bukhara – featuring, among others, a young Hebrew boy from Bukhara, a brit milah ceremony, and others.
14 of the postcards were used. Overall in very good condition.
