Among them: a postcard with the greeting “May you be inscribed and sealed for a good year, ” depicting a young girl wearing a hat; on the verso, a New Year greeting in Hebrew written in 1948 with mention of the young State of Israel: “To Miriam Kessner, I wish you a good year, from your friend Sarah Hila, in our young state, 18 Elul 1948”; a New Year postcard with a handwritten greeting on the verso from 1934; a rare New Year postcard depicting a gilded cannon firing flowers – on its verso a Hebrew New Year greeting from a young girl named Chaya Gutman; a rare postcard featuring children playing various musical instruments – with a gilt New Year greeting; a New Year postcard depicting a child riding a glider – on the verso New Year greetings in English – sent by mail in 1915; a rare New Year postcard with an illustration of a boy and girl against the background of a wall and a carrier pigeon; and others.
