Complete set of 40 Srulik posters published on the occasion of Israel's 40th anniversary from 1948-1988 by the JNF advertising service in Spanish for the Argentine Jewish community. Each year features a poster with a large photo of the "event of the year" with a different illustration of Srulik relating to that event, a brief description of the event on the right, and a paragraph about JNF's activities each year. On each poster is written "40 Israel" in the upper left corner.
Some of the posters document historical events engraved in the national memory: the opening poster in the series features the famous photograph of the Independence Declaration in 1948 and Srulik waving the Israeli flag. In 1949, the poster titled "The First Knesset Elections" depicts a photo of Weizmann casting his ballot. Posters from the 1950s focus on the Hebrew Aliyah, transit camps, and settlement, while the 1956 poster showcases a photo of Moshe Dayan and soldiers during the Sinai Campaign. The 1961 poster presents a photo from the Eichmann trial, noting that it was the only time Israel used the death penalty - Srulik stands "silent" and above him is written "Yizkor". In 1966, SY Agnon, Nobel Prize winner in literature, the 1967 poster shows the iconic photo of paratroopers at the Western Wall taken by David Rubinger - Srulik by the western wall. The emotional photo of survivors during Operation Entebbe alongside a picture of Yoni Netanyahu, who fell during the rescue operation, is chosen for the 1976 poster - Srulik is waving at the sign "Welcome Survivors". In 1968, a photo of Prisoner of Zion Sharansky on his way to Israel with Peres and Shamir, and so each year includes the "Photo of the Year" with Srulik's figure.
