The coupon is inscribed in German: “This coupon is valid only as a means of payment for prisoners of war. It can only be redeemed within the confines of the prisoner of war camp… The exchange of this coupon for payment will only be done in accordance with the law by the responsible camp administration. Violations, errors, and counterfeiting will be punished. Commander-in-Chief of the Wehrmacht, Brosk.”
