Two volumes, accompanied by 10 hand-painted lithographs based on drawings of figures from the East in traditional dress by William Thackeray. Edison visited the East in the months of April - October 1835, he visited Greece, Turkey, Syria, and the East, and summarized his impressions in the essay before us. From the first travel books that brought the western countries to the knowledge of the lifestyles and customs of the eastern countries.
