The first part of “Memoirs” covers Ben-Gurion’s life from his childhood until the end of 1933—childhood and youth in Płońsk, his immigration to Eretz Israel, his life in Sejera, the years he served as the General Secretary of the Histadrut, his early Zionist activities, and more.
The recipient of the book, Aryeh Dulzin [1913-1989], was a minister in the Israeli government from 1969 to 1970 and served as the President of the World Zionist Organization from 1978 to 1987.
