Collection of Purim activities for Talmidei Israel in diaspora. A booklet containing countless stories, plays, songs, handicrafts, games, paintings, and humor that were intended to be used by educators and students in the Hebrew schools in the Diaspora as content for the holiday of Purim, while introducing national and moral values. The booklet deals with the essence of Purim and the many ways in which it is celebrated in the Jewish tradition. Among other things, there is an interesting overview under the title “Purim throughout the generations” which details all the special Purim holidays celebrated in Israel communities on the occasion of rescue events that happened on various dates throughout the year and were named after the miracle of Purim rescue – “the local Purim” – for the occasion of being saved from a decree upon the Jews similar to the one that took place on Purim. In this chapter there is a map of Europe, Africa and the East with the names of the communities and the year in which each community’s private Purim miracle occurred which it celebrates every year – the Purim miracle of the Zaragoza community that occurred in the 15th century, the Purim miracle of the Cairo community in 1524, the Damascus Purim in 1743, and many more . More in the booklet, sections about the Purim celebrations at the marches in Tel Aviv, Purim celebrations in the kibbutz, Purim according to the Rambam, customs of reading the Megilah in Israel communities, special games for the holiday of Purim, Purim in Nahalal, jokes for Purim, sheet music for Purim songs, ideas for costumes – the first Purim costume of a boy in the shape of a JNF Blue Box, and a boy in the shape of the JNF Golden Book, costumes of pioneers, and even of a boy dressed as an Israel tank, a special Hebrew-English dictionary for Purim, and more.
