An eyewitness account based on official reports of the atrocities committed by the fascist forces during the first stage of the Spanish Civil War, starting from the rebels’ order to terrorize the civilian population, and the massacre of civilians in cities occupied by the nationalist rebel forces, including the torture and execution of women and children.
The booklet includes testimonies and harsh descriptions of unimaginable brutal abuse of the population, as well as data on the extent of the violence and harm inflicted upon innocent civilians.
The booklet was intended to raise international awareness of the atrocities occurring in Spain, to rally support for the Spanish Republic, and to pressure governments and international bodies to take action against the fascist forces.
