The first series of ten stamps “HaDo’ar HaIvri” was designed by Otte Wallish (1906-1977) immediately after the declaration of independence. on the stamps were printed: “Do’ar Ivri” because at the time of printing, the name of the State of Israel had not yet been officially determined.
