Five early Ottoman railway tickets for travel on the Hejaz Railway line along the Egyptian route from El Arish to the village of El Duwwar in the Matrouh district in southern Egypt, third class.
The railway line was established by the Ottoman Empire between 1900 and 1908, with the aim of connecting the more remote districts under its rule. The line ran between Damascus and the Hejaz region of the Arabian Peninsula, an area where the cities of Mecca and Medina are located.
Same size: 5.5×3 cm. All five tickets in very good condition.
