German Wehrmacht harmonica manufactured by M. Hohner in original box with colorful illustration of German Wehrmacht soldiers marching. The harmonica produces a quality sound. Germany, 1930s.
On one side is engraved in German: “Wenn wir marschieren” – “When we march”. On the other side the manufacturer’s trademarks are engraved. The song “When we march” is a German marching song composed in 1910, opening with the words: “When we march, let us go to the German gate”. The song accompanied the Wehrmacht’s military parades in which soldiers marched to harmonicas like this one before us, trumpets and drums.
