Hekdesh Contract between Rabbi Moshe Menahem of Calcutta, as well as the Rishon Lezion Rabbi Ya’akov Meir Franco and Rabbi Meir Castel of Hebron regarding the dedication of funds for the construction of the Hesed L’Avraham Beit Yoseph Hospital In Hebron, and the “Ohel Rivkah” study house adjacent to it, an area whose construction began before the World War and did not end then. The two sides involved the Supreme Court in its economy (India) and the latter determined in 1920 that the place would be built in the Torah as a Hekdesh, which would be used for the purposes of a beit midrash together with some additions to that which will be in the future … for progress and encouragement of Torah study among the Jews. The note regulates the status of the asset and the status of the “mithawalim”, taking into account the prior instruction given by the Calcutta court.
