Legitimationskarte – Identity card of a Jew named S. Viseu from the Łódź Ghetto, stamped with the official ink seal of the ghetto – Der Aelteste Der Juden In Litzmannstadt – Getto. Document No. 294. The body of the document states that the bearer is permitted to move within the Jewish residential area even during curfew and that it should not be used for any other purpose. The card includes the passport photo of the owner and the printed signature of Mordechai Chaim Rumkowski, the Elder of the Jews in the ghetto. The details were filled out on April 14, 1942.
