Menachem Begin’s Historical Book “In the Underground” Hadar Tel Aviv Press, about the Irgun’s activities in the years before the founding of the state. On the title page, an interesting dedication in Begin’s handwriting and signature “To Mr. Ben Moshe” which he calls “Political opponent Seeking the historical truth”.
“To Mr. Ben Moshe, a political opponent who seeks historical truth, dedicated this book In prayer to find her, in honor and a heartfelt greeting from M. Begin, Tel Aviv Eyar 1959.”
The recipient of the book may be the author and diplomat Yitzhak Ben Moshe editor of the Arab daily ‘Al Anba’, who is known to have opposed Begin’s political views.
A number of pen marks in the body of the book (apparently in the handwriting of Ben Moshe). Spine partially detached. Good condition.
