The front features interior and exterior illustrations of the New Synagogue in Berlin, a menorah, and the greeting “Shanah Tovah” in Hebrew and in German: “Die besten Gluckwunsche zum Neuen Jahre” – “Best wishes for the New Year”. Inside, the greeter wrote a lengthy blessing for a long year in the form of a poem spanning two pages – blessings for parents, heartfelt wishes, and gratitude to G-d for the New Year.
