20 issues of L’Éclipse from the years 1868–1874, some of which feature large grotesque color illustrations on the front covers. Several covers include antisemitic illustrations portraying Jews as controlling the French economy.

L’Éclipse was a 19th-century French magazine published from 1868 to 1876, edited by Francis Polo. The covers were illustrated by André Gill. The magazine was temporarily shut down after publishing a satirical illustration of Napoleon III. Due to the grotesque nature of its illustrations, the publication was censored by the authorities and was forced to cease operations from time to time.

20 complete issues. (Each issue consists of 4 pages). 48 cm. Minor tears along the edges of some issues. Overall good condition.
