The Genius Rabbi Shalom Mashash [1909-2003]: The grandson of the author of the “Divrei Shalom”, on his father’s side, was a descendant of the genius Rabbi Rafael Birdugo, one of the greatest scholars of Morocco. He served as Chief Rabbi of Casablanca, Chief Rabbi of Morocco and the Sphardic Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem, for 25 years. authored books in Halacha and Agadah, and is considered a major posek in Israel in the 20th century.
