An interesting letter in the handwriting and signature of Rabbi Shalom Mashash. In his letter, Rabbi Mashash addresses the editors of the newspaper “A Collection of Articles Mishmeret Homateynu” and asks them to send him the newspaper every week, and promises that in his sermons he demands on Saturday in Casablanca, he will quote from the things published in the newspapers. The Genius Rabbi Shalom Mashash [1909-2003]: The grandson of the author of the “Divrei Shalom”, on his father’s side, was a descendant of the genius Rabbi Rafael Birdugo, one of the greatest scholars of Morocco. He served as Chief Rabbi of Casablanca, Chief Rabbi of Morocco and the Sphardic Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem, for 25 years. authored books in Halacha and Agadah, and is considered a major posek in Israel in the 20th century. One of the greatest preservers and reinforcers of Moroccan Jewish customs.
