Letter of opinion and ruling signed by the great rabbis of Safed – Gdoley Ashkenaz and Sphard – Rabbi Avraham Leib Zilberman (Chief Rabbi of Safed for 30 years), Rabbi Ephraim Wingot, Rabbi Yeshua Vaish, and Rabbi Yehoshua Palaji.
The letter summarizes the judgment of the geniuses regarding a dispute between two disputants who lived in the same yard, and one built a water pump in the yard without the consent of his neighbor. In their letter, the geniuses rule that in the way that the other neighbors agree to the existence of the water pump, and also allow them to use it, the claimant has no claim against the defendant.
