Seven letters written from Poland to Eretz Israel (except for one sent inside Lodz) by a Jew named Israel David Halevi, and sent by postcards. The letters were all sent in In February – March 1932, to Chaya Perel, apparently the writer’s relative, who was living at the time on Bar Kochba Street in Tel Aviv.
The letters were sent by him from various cities in Poland, where Israel David stayed: Warsaw, Bedzin, Kalisz, Bialystok, and Latzwick. And one letter sent to Israel David from Lodz. In the letters, most of which are written in Yiddish and one in Hebrew, Israel David tells about the difficulties of life, the attempt to find work, the lack of HMOs, the Purim holiday of Bolatzvik, things related to the ‘Cultural Committee’ in Warsaw, personal matters and more.
