A Heartfelt Letter in the Handwriting and with the Signature of Rabbi Aryeh Levin to a Young Woman Named Efrat Who Recovered from Her Illness. 5 Iyar 5722 (1962).
In his letter, Rabbi Aryeh Levin opens with:
“May healing and comfort be granted to the dear and gentle soul, Efrat, may she be blessed…”. After hearing from her parents that her health was improving, he continues with a warm blessing: “And my prayer is constantly on my lips, that with G-d’s help, I may merit to be present at your wedding canopy alongside your dear parents, may they live long. I almost recall that you made me a promise, and I hope you will not deviate from it – ‘The remnant of Israel shall do no iniquity…’ (Zephaniah 3:13). Most importantly, dear one, strengthen yourself, persevere, and put your hope in G-d, for upon you has shone the sun of righteousness and healing in its wings. You have been accustomed to miracles since your childhood; your days of suffering have ended, and the dawn of your light shall break forth…From me, your loyal and devoted friend, who cherishes and wholeheartedly wishes you all goodness forever, Aryeh Levin.”
