Membership card of the young Gershon Feldlight, a member of the pioneer movement in Poland, Pinsk branch. Signed with Fledlight's hand signature, and with the secretary's signature, ink stamps of the HaHalutz movement. On the card numbered 7 (one of the first membership cards issued in Pinsk!) it is recorded that Gershon Feldlight was born in 1906 and that his profession is "shoe maker", he worked in his profession "for 7 years in Pinsk as a private worker", and that he joined the Histadrut on May 5, 1924. And his passport photo.
The card was used, among other things, as a form of identification, and it allowed members access to movement resources, such as libraries and meeting halls. The purpose of the movement was to prepare young Jews for life in Palestine, and its members were known for their commitment to Zionism and social justice. From the 1920s, the world center of the pioneer was in Warsaw. Between the two world wars, about 40%-50% of the pioneer members lived in Poland. In Poland, a general youth movement called "The Young Pioneer" was established, which addressed the youth that included high school students in the cities.
