Two issues of historical newspapers reporting on the occupation of the Western Wall during the Six Day War – rare photographs.

* Issue of the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper, June 7,1967, the second day of the war: “The Status We Expected 2000 years, the IDF near the liberated Western Wall: First photographs”. Historical issue – on the title page Rare photographs of IDF soldiers near the Western Wall after its occupation, Central Command General Uzi Narkis and Rabbi Shlomo Goren holding a Torah scroll in his hand. On the back of the newspaper is a photograph showing the deputy chief of staff, Major General Haim Barlev, Uzi Narkis, and Yedioth Ahronoth reporter Didi Manosi singing the anthem “Hatikva” at the Western Wall, as well as an exciting article about the first shofar blast at the Western Wall.
