The “Ginásio Israelita Brasileiro” was a Jewish educational institution in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was one of the most important and long-standing Jewish schools in the city, dedicated to preserving Jewish and Hebrew identity among the Jewish students who were educated there. The school provided both general education and Jewish-Zionist education and served as an important cultural center for the Jewish community in the city. This graduating class, like many others, was part of the strong and organized Jewish community in the city, and the alumni of the school went on to be involved in the community, various professions, and public life.
