Kleinen Abstammungsnachweis – “Proof of parenthood” – an official certificate of Franz Will – a member of the Nazi party in Vienna in which he declares the fact that he is an Aryan. The certificate itself is printed and filled in by hand against the background of the Nazi emblem, the eagle and the swastika, signed with Nazi ink stamps of the Vienna administration. May 24, 1939.
The certificate states that the above submitted all the necessary documents confirming the fact that he is of Aryan descent, and that he had a ‘second-degree’ German blood. The certificate is a detailed handwritten completion of Will’s personal details, including the details of his parents’ place of birth, their marriage registration, and many other details of origin.
During the Third Reich, every citizen who was nominated to join a Nazi military or political organization such as the SS or the NSDAP – National Socialist German Workers’ Party – the Nazi Party itself, was forced to provide proof of ‘blood purity’ in filling out the certificate before us.
