Opens Happy New Year postcard – with the paratrooper’s prayer for a safe descent. Israel, 1950s. Hebrew and English.
In the foreground is an illustration of paratrooper’s who jumped from the planes on their way to land. In the center of the postcard opens a text with the parachutist’s prayer: “Save us… from all kinds of mishaps in the air and on the landing and protect us so that the parachute opens and the strings hold it… ברוך אתה… שומע תפילה”. as well as a new year blessing and a “year of peace and expansion” blessing.
