Rabbi Nachman Kahane (1861-1908) was born to Rabbi Chaim Aryeh Kahane Dayan in Sighet and author of “Divrei Gaonim”. Married the daughter of Rabbi Yosef Meir Weiss, founder of Spinka Hasidism. From 1885 and till His death served as rabbi of the Spinka community. He received his publicity in the Halachic world with the publication of the book before us. This book is a collection of halakhic Psakim on Shulchan Aruch orach chayim. The book, which was first printed in Sighet in 1898, received the consent of his father, the Maharsham, “Rabbi Chaim Hezekiah Medini, Rabbi Moshe Greenwald of host, Rabbi Yitzchak Shmalkish of Lvov, the Adere”t and more. He died still in the life of his father and father-in-law in Tammuz 1908, and is buried in Sliabhava (Today in Ukraine). His three sons, Israel’s genius, important community leaders – murdered in the Holocaust.
