U.S.A. PAGINE DI DOCUMENTAZIONE SUGLI STATI UNITI – “U.S.A- Pages of Documentation on the United States” – Extremely antisemitic and anti-American publication, by the “Difesa della razza” – Defense of the Race – an extreme antisemitic racist movement in Italy, [1938].
“There is no need to rewrite the history of the United States in order to convince ourselves that it is an expression of racial decline” – An extremely antisemitic publication against the United States and American Jewry, referring to it as a “political gangster” for standing at the head of those fighting Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany, and attacking the United States racially first – Claims that the “Anglo-Saxon race” is a mixture of inferior races, and from there tries to show the rottenness in all the institutions of the American state – the American government, American press, American army, American police, crime in America (Claims that the fact that a theft or robbery occurs every minute and a half in America indicates racial inferiority and the base human nature of the races that make up the American nation), attacks Blacks in the United States, and more. The author even quotes writers from America who wrote negatively about the American nation in order to show that they themselves admit this.
Later, antisemitic claims are raised about American Jewry. The author describes the waves of Jewish immigration to America and claims that a large part of what he calls “the rottenness of the United States” was caused by the Jews who infiltrated it from within. The booklet was published by a racist organization in Italy controlled by Benito Mussolini, who adopted the Nazi theory of Aryan racial supremacy, and used propaganda that defined all enemies of the state as initially racial enemies in order to legalize their bloodshed, and later political enemies. Its aim was to spread a “scientific” doctrine of racial theory, and convince Italians that colonialism, bans on intermarriage, and racial laws were legitimate political goals anchored in the laws of nature. As Italy became more deeply involved in war as part of the Axis powers, the organization radicalized its positions. It frequently engaged in antisemitic propaganda and blamed the Jews for causing the war.
