Four volumes containing 42 engraved plates (steel engravings; including title page engravings), two large color maps (a map of Eretz Israel and a map of Sinai and Egypt) and hundreds of illustrations throughout the text (wood engraving). The steel engravings and wood engravings, depicting the landscapes and inhabitants of Eretz Israel and its surroundings, were based on paintings by Harry Fenn and John Douglas Woodward.
