Ptachyah Hornblas [born 1847. Otzar HaRabbanim 17084], while still a teenager he wrote Torah innovations on the difficult issues of the law of Hatziza. He received Torah from Rabbi Yaakov Aryeh of Radzmin, and from Rabbi Avrimahleh of Purisov. In 1857, when he was young, he was later appointed rabbi of Warsaw and was accepted by all communitys Hassidim UMitnagdim as one. In the approval of the Natzi”v to the book, he writes: “And I saw in some places… raise pearls from the depths of the study of the Talmudic water.” In the approval of the Gaon Rabbi Meir Simcha of Dvinsk, he writes: “One of the greatest teachers of Warsaw, and I found it full of Torah …”. From the elders of Warsaw it was heard that it was a routine sight to see around Rabbi Ptachyah’s table ‘dozens of wise disciples thinking in the war of Torah, he also was an address for the sick and barren and many were saved from his blessings.
