In the center of the poster is the “Symbol of the Decade” designed by the painter and graphic designer Yaakov Zim in 1957; Around it is printed: “Every man in Israel will wear the symbol of the decade on the feast of the Decade” Below is written: “The price is 200 pennies”. The celebrations of the decade of the State of Israel in 1958 were a significant milestone in the history of the state. As part of the celebrations, public events were held in which state institutions and dignitaries took part. The events were organized by the “World Committee for Events of the Decade” and included the reenactment of the Declaration of Independence, the March of the decade, the IDF demonstration in Ramat Gan, the Bible Quiz and more.
