A shortened prayer book for weekday, Sabbath, Rosh Hashanah, and Yom Kippur prayers, intended for use by Jewish soldiers in the United States Army, edited by the American Rabbinical Council. This prayer book includes special prayers such as a prayer for the sick and wounded, a prayer for recovery, a prayer for war casualties, a Passover Haggadah, morning prayers for the three pilgrimage festivals, and more. At the end of the prayer book, there is a prayer for the government of the United States (in English only), a hymn of praise to “America, ” the phrase “In G-d We Trust, ” a patriotic song in honor of Columbia, and a calendar for the years 1943-44.
